TICKETING - Alignment of booking class combination for itineraries on Regional - North America / Caribbean

We would like to inform that starting on December 05, 2018, when the LATAM itinerary includes Regional (REG) connections, combined with flights to/from North America / Caribbean for trips as 01 September, 2019, it will no longer be necessary to combine different booking classes between the Long Haul and Regional flights.

Given the foregoing, starting upon the stated date of sale, the GDS will automatically quote the same booking class for the Regional flight and Long Haul flight, considering the origin - destination.

Example route Santiago (SCL) - Los Angeles (LAX) Class Q.

Flight LA600: Santiago (SCL) - Los Angeles (LAX). Class Q reservation.

Connecting flight in Lima LA602 - LA2476: flight LA602 Santiago (SCL) - Lima (LIM) Class Q reservation and flight LA2476 Lima (LIM) - Los Angeles (LAX) is also a Class Q reservation.

This alignment of booking class will only be done for the economy cabin on regional routes connecting to/from North America / Caribbean (does not apply to NETFARE or SAA).

Domestic routes and booking class combinations with Premium Business and Premium Economy will not be changed.

For reservations done up to the 05 of December, if necessary, the booking classes of the regional segments will be changed on a centralized manner, and the following must be considered:

  • Only non-ticketed reservations will be modified.
  • This change will only affect LATAM marketing flights.
  • The regional flight segments will remain HK but on a different booking class
  • The modified reservations will have a note indicating: SR OTHS RBD CHG DUE TO MASSIVE CHART CHG PLS REPRICE BEFORE TICKETING
  • Agents requiring to complete the ticketing of intervened reservations must re-price and save the fare again (there will be no impact on the fare)

In case of historical reissues of tickets issued before December 05, 2018 with travel date from September 1, 2019, the booking class indicated on the fare originally issued must be considered.
