CONTINGENCY - Coronavirus Alert

 

 LATAM COMMERCIAL EXCEPTIONS

Due to:

Coronavirus alert

Passengers Traveling:

1. To Papeete (PPT), if they have visited any of the following countries since January 1, 2020: China, Cambodia, Vietnam, India, Japan, Macao, Malaysia, Nepal, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan , Thailand and / or the Philippines.

 

2. From mainland China or Hong Kong SAR or Macao SAR with tickets issued in China until January 31st, 2020. Additionally, exceptions included by country (United States (US), New Zealand (NZ), Australia (AU), Israel (IL) and Paraguay (PY), according to entry restriction to hand in this flexibility. See details here.


3. Passengers holding LATAM tickets issued in Asia until January 31, 2020, when the passenger has 2 tickets: a LATAM ticket (without mainland China legs, Hong Kong SAR or Macao SAR) and a ticket issued by another airline, departing from mainland China, Hong Kong SAR or Macao SAR.

 

4. Passengers flying in LATAM with connection, to and/from China point (independent of the country of issuance of the ticket).

Original flight date:

Passengers traveling to Papeete (PPT), holding tickets issued until February 10, 2020.

 

Passengers flying from Mainland China with tickets issued in China or passengers that have entrance restrictions to  the country (USA, NZ, AU, and IL): From January 27 until March 31, 2020.


Passengers holding LATAM Tickets issued in Asia until January 31, 2020, when the passenger has 2 tickets: a LATAM ticket (without mainland China legs, Hong Kong SAR or Macao SAR) and a ticket issued by another airline, departing from mainland China, Hong Kong SAR or Macao SAR: from January 27 until March 31, 2020.


Passengers travelling on LATAM flights with connection, from to/or Chine point: From January 29 to March 31, 2020.

May choose ONE of the following options FREE of penalty according to:

 

Passengers indicated in points 1, 2 and 3

Passengers traveling in LATAM flights with connection, to and/or from China (point 4)

Change of date/flight rerouting:

- To fly subject to class availability up to 1 year from the original issue.

Passengers on canceled or rescheduled flights

 

a) For LATAM Tickets issued in any country EXCEPT Brazil:

 

- To travel today or up to 15 days after the original travel date – SUBJECT TO CABIN AVAILABILITY (no fare differences apply)

 

- Beyond 15 days - SUBJECT TO FARE DIFFERENCES and ticket validity

 

b) For LATAM tickets issued in Brazil:

- To fly until the ticket validity - SUBJECT TO CABIN (no fare differences apply)

Passengers on non-canceled or rescheduled flights:  

For LATAM tickets issued in any country:

 

- To travel today or up to 15 days after the original travel date – SUBJECT TO CABIN AVAILABILITY (no fare differences apply)

 

- Beyond 15 days - SUBJECT TO FARE DIFFERENCES and ticket validity

 

Change of origin or destination 

No penalty, subject to fare differences and ticket validity.

Details:

Passengers traveling to Papeete (PPT) who have visited at least one of the countries indicated in point 1, must present a medical certificate of less than 5 days at the boarding airport, certifying the state of health. In case of not carrying the certificate, they cannot be boarded.

 

Passengers affected by flight disruptions will be eligible for additional options stated in the passenger protection policy contained in the LATAM Procedures Manual.

 

(*) Change subject to cabin availability on LATAM flights implies that the travel agent must make the reservation in the original booking class. If the class is not available, the agent must reserve in the lowest booking class available in the same cabin of the LATAM flight and complete the involuntary ticket reissue. In other words, it is no longer necessary to contact the LATAM Sales Support Agent to request the original booking class.

Important: 

  • Changes of date/flight/rerouting apply maintaining the same origin/destination
  • Change of origin or destination means flying to/from a city different than the one printed on the original flight coupon
  • Ancillaries associated to the ticket are subject to changes and/or refund depending on the action taken with the ticket.
