CONTINGENCY - Coronavirus Alert

 

 LATAM COMMERCIAL EXCEPTIONS

Due to:

 Coronavirus alert

Passengers Traveling:

  • From mainland China or Hong Kong SAR or Macao SAR with tickets issued in China until January 31st, 2020. Additionally, exceptions included by country (United States (US), New Zealand (NZ), Australia (AU), and Israel (IL), according to entry restriction to hand in this flexibility. See details here.


  • Passengers holding LATAM tickets issued in Asia until January 31, 2020, when the passenger has 2 tickets: a LATAM ticket (without mainland China legs, Hong Kong SAR or Macao SAR) and a ticket issued by another airline, departing from mainland China, Hong Kong SAR or Macao SAR.


  • Passengers flying in LATAM with connection, to and/from China point (independent of the country of issuance of the ticket).

Original flight date:

  • Passengers flying from Mainland China with tickets issued in China or passengers that have entrance restrictions to  the country (USA, NZ, AU, and IL): From January 27 until March 31, 2020.


  • Passengers holding LATAM Tickets issued in Asia until January 31, 2020, when the passenger has 2 tickets: a LATAM ticket (without mainland China legs, Hong Kong SAR or Macao SAR) and a ticket issued by another airline, departing from mainland China, Hong Kong SAR or Macao SAR: from January 27 until March 31, 2020.


  • Passengers travelling on LATAM flights with connection, from to/or China point: From January 29 to March 31, 2020.

May choose ONE of the following options FREE of penalty according to:

 

Departing from mainland China with tickets issued in China or passengers that have entrance restriction to the country (USA, NZ, AU and IL) and LATAM Tickets issued in Asia until January 31, 2020, when the passenger has 2 tickets: a LATAM ticket (without mainland China legs, Hong Kong SAR or Macao SAR) and a ticket issued by other airline, departing in mainland China, Hong Kong SAR or Macao SAR

Passengers traveling in LATAM flights with connection, to and/or from China.

Change of date/flight

- To fly subject to class availability up to 1 year from the original issue.

Passengers on canceled or rescheduled flights

a) For LATAM Tickets issued in any country EXCEPT Brazil:

 

- To travel today or up to 15 days after the original travel date – SUBJECT TO CABIN AVAILABILITY (no fare differences apply)

 

- Beyond 15 days - SUBJECT TO FARE DIFFERENCES and ticket validity

 

b) For LATAM tickets issued in Brazil:

- To fly until the ticket validity - SUBJECT TO CABIN (no rate differences apply)

Passengers on non-canceled or rescheduled flights:  

For LATAM tickets issued in any country:

 

- To travel today or up to 15 days after the original travel date – SUBJECT TO CABIN AVAILABILITY (no fare differences apply)

 

- Beyond 15 days - SUBJECT TO FARE DIFFERENCES and ticket validity

 

Change of origin or destination 

No penalty, subject to fare differences and ticket validity.

  • Without penalty for passengers (with or without canceled or rescheduled flights) traveling from/to Wuhan (WUH)

 

  • Without penalty for all passengers with canceled or rescheduled flights from other cities in China: Applies to all UNUSED coupons of the TKT and EMD.

Details:

Passengers affected by flight disruptions will be eligible for additional options stated in the passenger protection policy contained in the LATAM Procedures Manual.

 

(*) Change subject to cabin availability on LATAM flights implies that the travel agent must make the reservation in the original booking class. If the class is not available, the agent must reserve in the lowest booking class available in the same cabin of the LATAM flight and complete the involuntary ticket reissue. In other words, it is no longer necessary to contact the LATAM Sales Support Agent to request the original booking class. 

Important: 

  • Changes of date/flight/rerouting apply maintaining the same origin/destination
  • Change of origin or destination means flying to/from a city different than the one printed on the original flight coupon
  • Ancillaries associated to the ticket are subject to changes and/or refund depending on the action taken with the ticket.
