Scope: |
LATAM customers traveling to/from/via New York (JFK), USA. |
Implementa tion date: |
February 1, 2020 (change of terminal and Lounge access) |
Considerations: |
Change of terminal at New York airport (JFK):
- The new terminal will be updated in GDS as from Saturday, January 18, 2020.
- Minimum connection time (MCT) has been updated in GDS.
- LATAM airport personnel will be available at Terminal 8 during the first weeks to assist customers who mistakenly go to this terminal.
- Additionally, the terminal change is being communicated via email to the contacts entered in the PNR, of all passengers who have reservations to JFK, either as a final destination or connection point.
- To minimize the impact of the relocation, passengers with connections in Terminal 8 and whose minimum connection time increased will be protected.
- In order for Travel Agencies to maintain control of their reservations, LATAM will add the protective flight to the reservation, so that the Travel Agent regularizes their tickets.
The following should be considered when completing the involuntary reissue process:
- If the passenger does not agree with the alternative offered or if there is still no protection on the reservation, they may opt for the alternatives indicated in the Passenger Protection chapter.
