ROUTE - Changes to the operation at Santos Dumont Airport (SDU), Rio de Janeiro

After some changes about the closing dates of Santos Dumont Airport (SDU), the local authority of Brazil defines that the beginning of the works will be between August 24th and September 21st. Due to this, all the details about rescheduling is specified below.

Customers are being notified since july, 20, 2019 via LATAM’s centralized channels: email, SMS, LATAM App. 

 

Flights Affected:

 

All flights operating between August, 24 and September, 21, 2019.

Protection proposed:

Flights will be transferred to Galeao airport (GIG) in the same city.

Reservation handling:

Protecting LATAM flights are being automatically and centrally incorporated into reservations.

 

If protection does not appear in their reservation, passengers may be protected as indicated.

 

Passengers with ancillaries may receive these services on the new flights, subject to availability.

When reissuing, in Ticket Endorsements box enter:

SKED CHG DUE TO CNLD SDU

Important Note:

Should they require transfers between airports (SDU and GIG), LATAM will provide buses for passengers.

 

These buses will operate during the construction period leaving hourly between the following times:

From SDU to GIG from 4am to 8pm.

From GIG to SDU from 6am to 10pm.

 

To use this benefit, you must present your travel document with your booking code or boarding pass.

 

If a customer is not satisfied with the alternative itinerary proposed, s/he may request a change or refund as per the terms defined in the protection policy found in the LATAM Trade.
