BAGGAGE - Changes to LATAM's baggage policy

In order to align LATAM’s baggage policy with industry standards, please be informed that the policy to use the “most permissive baggage allowance” for LATAM tickets is being eliminated. This means the checked baggage allowance will be adjusted to what each flight coupon indicates, meaning outbound and returning flights may be different.

The checked baggage allowance will be subject to what is “stated on the ticket” and applicable to all tickets issued on or after the 12th of July, 2018.

Separate tickets on the same PNR, although they are flight itineraries with connections (stops in under 24 hours) the allowances shall be distinct and subject to what is indicated on the flight tickets.

Remember that due to the IATA 302 resolution, the distribution systems are programmed so that any itineraries that begin or end anywhere in the USA or Canada show the same allowance on the ticket (outbound/return).
