FARES - New brand for domestic markets

As part of LATAM's commitment to offer more options, customization and flexibility for all types of passengers, please be informed that LATAM will launch a new brand option called BASIC in the domestic markets of Chile, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador and Argentina.

 

Description:

New Economy brand called BASIC, which allows traveling light with just one personal item.

 

This new brand replaces the PROMO brand on LATAM’s domestic routes and will be available in the markets listed. See exceptions box.

Scope:

All domestic routes in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.

Implementation date:

Available for sale on the following dates:

Domestic Chile: August 06, 2019

Domestic Peru: August 27, 2019

Domestic Colombia: August 27, 2019

Domestic Argentina and Ecuador: September 3rd, 2019

Considerations: 

The BASIC brand will have the following characteristics:

New brand code QP

Allows seat purchase 

No carry-on baggage is permitted, but checked bags may be purchased. Carry-on baggage is not available for sale.

No changes or refund are allowed. Customers who want a brand that includes carry-on baggage must purchase the Light, Plus or Top brand.

LATAM Pass/Fid mile accrual (depending on customer program membership).

Advancement/Postponement Flight Confirmed is not allowed.

Personal Item:

The maximum size allowed for the personal item is 45 x 35 x 20 cm (height, length, width); the personal item may be a purse, laptop bag or any other item that meets the size requirements.

The item is to be stowed under the seat in front of the passenger. Exception: seats behind bulkheads or in exit rows.

Non-compliant items will be subject to a fee charged at the gate.

Exception:

The following passengers with a BASIC brand will be entitled to a carry-on bag:

Customers with a LATAM+ seat

Platinum, Black and Black Signature customers and their oneworld equivalents. There will be no special mark on the ticket or in the reservation, but the allowance will be honored at the time of boarding.

This brand does not apply to the DOM BR market or any international markets.
