CONTINGENCY - Extension of commercial exceptions in regional flights due to LAN Express cabin crew strike

 

 LATAM COMMERCIAL EXCEPTIONS

Due to

Extension of commercial exemptions on regional flights until April 18, 2018 due to strike of LAN Express cabin crews.

Passengers

On LATAM flights affected by itinerary changes (rescheduled/cancelled)

Traveling

With affected flight traveling between Santiago (SCL) and:

Buenos Aires (BUE)

Lima (LIM)

São Paulo (GRU)

Rio de Janeiro (GIG)

Montevideo (MVD)

Original flight date

Between April  10 and 18, 2018

Additional conditions

Travel agencies will have a period of 48 hours to reissue as involuntary using the protection provided by LATAM.

May choose ONE of the following options FREE of penalty according to::

Change of date/flight

rerouting

Passengers on flights affected:

a) For LATAM Tickets issued in any country EXCEPT Brazil:

- To travel today or up to 30 days after the original travel date – SUBJECT TO CABIN AVAILABILITY (no fare differences apply)

- Beyond 30 days - SUBJECT TO FARE DIFFERENCES and ticket validity

b) For LATAM tickets issued in Brazil:

- To fly until the ticket validity - SUBJECT TO CABIN (no rate differences apply

Change of origin or destination

For LATAM tickets on flights affected:

Free of penalty, subject to fare differences and ticket validity.

For LATAM tickets on flights affected:

Without penalty only for passengers affected by itinerary changes:

Applies to all UNUSED coupons of the TKT and EMD.

In the enabled GDSs enter SCL11APR18 in RMKs box of TKT.

For other GDSs enter this note in PNR RMKs.

For LATAM tickets on non flights affected:

-The refund will be submitted to the conditions of the fare paid.

 

(*) Change subject to cabin availability on LATAM flights implies that the travel agent must make the reservation in the original booking class. If the class is not available, the agent must reserve in the lowest booking class available in the same cabin of the LATAM flight and complete the involuntary ticket reissue. In other words, it is no longer necessary to contact the LATAM Sales Support Agent to request the original booking class.

Important:

  • Changes of date/flight/rerouting apply maintaining the same origin/destination
  • Change of origin or destination means flying to/from a city different than the one printed on the original flight coupon
  • Ancillaries associated to the ticket are subject to changes and/or refund depending on the action taken with the ticket.
  • Passengers should be advised to check the status of their flight at latam.com before going to the airport.
