CODESHARE - New codeshare service between LATAM and Malaysia Airlines

This is to inform that a new codeshare operation between LATAM and Malaysia Airlines for domestic service in Asia is already available in our distribution systems according to the following:

 

LA* marketed flights

The number range for marketed flights is LA*8924-8959.

Sydney (SYD) - Kuala Lumpur (KUL)

Melbourne (MEL) - Kuala Lumpur (KUL)

Auckland (AKL) - Kuala Lumpur (KUL)

Special Passengers: 

Age definition: Under age 2 on the date of trip commencement.

Babies under 7 days of age are not accepted for transportation.

Only one (1) baby will be accepted at the baby fare of 10% of international services when traveling with one adult.

One adult passenger may travel with two babies under the following conditions only:

-   Only one baby can be less than 6 months of age.

-   One of the babies must pay full child fare to be accepted for travel.

-   Infants may not be seated in an exit row.

Pregnants Passengers: 

In order to ensure passengers requiring medical authorization and/or assistance receive proper information and care, expectant women will only be accepted until week 35 in the case of normal pregnancy and week 32 in the case of multiple pregnancy.

Requests for travel after week 35 must be treated as MEDA cases and will only be authorized as  exceptions. The pregnant passenger must present a medical certificate authorizing travel after week 35 of pregnancy.

Known cases of multiple pregnancy are normally not accepted after week 32. Pregnant passengers with a multiple pregnancy must be treated as MEDA cases and will only be authorized as exceptions. The pregnant passenger with a multiple pregnancy must present a medical certificate authorizing travel after week 32 of pregnancy. 

 

Special Services: 

Special services must be booked directly on the operating flight.

 Baggage policy

Checked Baggage: The baggage policy of the Most Significant Carrier applies. If the MSC is a codeshare flight, the marketing carrier’s policy applies.

Carry-On Baggage: The operator’s policy applies. Check Malaysia Airlines’s website.

Other baggage fees: The operator’s baggage fee policy applies.
