SPECIAL PASSENGERS - New requirements for pregnant passengers and acceptance of ESAN on flights to and from Argentina


Description:

To comply with the new provisions of the Aeronautical Code in Argentina, as of October 10, 2024, changes are implemented for pregnant passengers and transportation of emotional assistance animals (ESAN) on flights to/from Argentina.

Pregnant passengers and transportation of emotional assistance animals on flights to/from Argentina.

October 10, 2024

Considerations:

Pregnant Women.

- They can fly without restriction up to before completing the 28th week of pregnancy, as long as they are in good health.

- From weeks 28 to 38, a certificate from the treating doctor indicating the conformity of the trip and the weeks of gestation is required. 

- The medical certificate must be dated not more than 7 days before the flight date

The conditions for medical certification or high-risk pregnancies apply according to the already defined policy.

Emotional Support Animal (ESAN).

The acceptance of emotional support animals (ESAN) such as dogs and cats will be allowed on flights to/from Argentina, considering that the provision of the service extends to all flight segments within the same passenger reservation.

The conditions for their acceptance, flight restrictions, and documentation are the same as those currently applied to routes where the service for dogs and cats is provided.
