ROUTES - Suspension route between Brasília (BSB) and Ilhéus (IOS)

In order to continue optimizing the operation of LATAM Airlines Brazil, we inform you that from March 29, 2019, the operation of the route between Brasília (BSB) and Ilhéus (IOS), Brazil, will be suspended. The flights are already closed for sale in the distribution systems.

Please note that LATAM continues to operate to Ilhéus (IOS) on flights via São Paulo (GRU y CGH).

The flights affected are:

BSB IOS LA3456

IOS BSB LA3481

The protections will begin on January 12, 2019 centralized by LATAM. The automatic protection alternatives will be flights via São Paulo (GRU and CGH).

Indirect sales passengers will be notified by their Travel Agencies using the regular procedure.

Those passengers who do not accept the proposed alternative of protection, will be able to choose one of the following options WITHOUT FINE and independent of the penalties item:

  • Changes and Rerouting
    • Passengers who wish to advance their trip, may opt for a change subject to availability of cabin to travel before March 29, 2019.
    • Passengers wishing to travel on a later date may defer their trip up to 15 days after the original travel date subject to cabin availability (via GRU or CGH); beyond this period, changes will be subject to class availability, fare differences and ticket validity.

When making changes to the ticket and/or route, enter an SSR CKIN in the reservation and in the Endorsements/Restrictions box enter the following text:  INVOL CHG DUE TO BSB IOS CLOSURE

(*) Change subject to cabin availability on LATAM flights implies that the travel agent must make the reservation in the original booking class. If the class is not available, the agent must reserve in the lowest booking class available in the same cabin of the LATAM flight and complete the involuntary ticket reissue. In other words, it is no longer necessary to contact the LATAM Sales Support Agent to request the original booking class.

  • Refounds

Passengers may request a refund of the unused coupons, even if the fare regulation does not allow so.

When processing the refund, enter the following text in the REMARKS box: INVOL REF DUE TO BSB IOS CLOSURE

  • Ancillaries

Ancillaries associated to the ticket are subject to changes and/or refund depending on the action taken with the ticket.
