| Description: | Advance onboard menu selection is an exclusive service for passengers traveling in the Premium Business cabin on international routes operated and marketed by LATAM, on wide-body (twin-aisle) aircraft with a flight duration of more than 3 hours and 30 minutes. Currently, the invitation to select the onboard menu in advance is sent via WhatsApp. An invitation is sent 44 hours before the flight’s departure, and if the customer has not responded, a reminder is sent 36 hours before departure. However, as of May 31, 2026, for flights departing from Santiago, the process works as follows: - The customer receives an email 5 days before the flight. - If they do not select the menu, they receive a WhatsApp message from LATAM Airlines’ official account 44 hours before the flight. - If the menu has not been selected 36 hours before the flight, a reminder message is sent via WhatsApp. Gradually, this process will be extended to all routes where this service is available. NOTE: We remind travel agents that they must include the passenger’s contact number and email address in the booking so that the passenger can access this service. |
|---|---|
| Scope: | Customers who inquire about the onboard menu pre-selection service. |
| Implementation date: | Immediately |
| Considerations: | - Advance onboard menu selection is free of charge. - Pre-selection applies only to the main course of the first (or only) meal service. Appetizers, dessert, and beverages are selected during the flight. - The customer cannot choose a menu for another passenger, even if they are on the same booking, because the message is sent individually to each passenger for whom contact details are available. - The invitation is not available for passengers requested for cabin upgrades using complimentary coupons, auction upgrades (Plusgrade), last-minute upgrades (SeatBoost). - Confirmed cabin upgrades less than 48 hours before the flight’s departure will not receive the advance menu selection message. - If the flight is changed or canceled, the menu pre-selection will be canceled and the customer will need to choose on board during the flight. - If the customer does not select an option or decides to change the selected option, they may request the menu directly on board. - Special meals, such as vegetarian, vegan, etc., must be requested through the Travel Agency. - From the email or WhatsApp message, the customer can access more information on the LATAM Airlines website about Select your menu in advance in Premium Business. |
| Section: | This information will be available on the LATAM Airlines website in the section: LATAM Experience > During the flight > Gastronomy > Premium Business > Select your menu in advance in Premium Business |
