Starting on July 22, 2024, Resolution 009/2024 of the Consumer Law in Ecuador comes into effect, allowing customers to withdraw from their purchase and request a refund.

Right of Refund request for tickets issued in Ecuador.

Consideraciones:

The right of withdrawal in Ecuador applies according to the following conditions: 

- Domestic and international tickets issued in Ecuador. 

- The deadline for requesting a refund is up to 48 hours after the purchase. 

- The right of withdrawal applies if the first flight takes place more than 48 hours from the date of purchase. 

- It includes associated ancillaries in the purchase. 

The travel agent must validate if the purchase meets the deadlines to request the right of withdrawal.
