Considerations

1. End of the agreement between LATAM and American Airlines (January 31, 2020):

  • Codeshare LA* flights operated by American Airlines (AA) are no longer available for sale, except for the following destinations, which may still be sold as codeshare for travel until 31 January 2020: Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Las Vegas (LAS), San Francisco (SFO), Toronto (YYZ) and Washington (DCA).
  • LATAM fares have been adjusted in their Flight Application (FL) to indicate all operators available for ticketing or reissue.
  • Consider that the Interline Electronic Ticketing Agreements (IET) between American Airlines and LATAM remain unchanged.
  • Reservations issued on codeshare LA* flights operated by American Airlines will be centrally protected, maintaining the original American Airlines (AA) flights and the original ticket class. If the class is no longer available, tickets will be protected in the lowest class available in the original cabin.
  • LATAM will will be centrally modify the flight in the reservation and notify the Travel Agency via system to complete the involuntary reissue process without losing control of the reservation. The intervened reservations will have the following message: SSR MUST UPDATE TKT
  • The following should be considered when completing the involuntary reissue process:
    • The protective flights of the reservation must be maintained.
    • The original fare construction must remain the same.
    • The change applies without penalty fee.
    • It will be mandatory to enter the following note on the Endorsement box of the Ticket: "INVOL CHG DUE TO LA CSH FLT CNLD”
  • Due to the fact that the original flights will be maintained, the passenger protection policy does not apply.
  • In the event of subsequent voluntary changes, the fare regulation of the original ticket will apply.

2 End of frequent flyer agreement with American Airlines subject to oneworld departure:

  • The frequent flyer agreement with AA will remain in effect until the date of departure of LATAM Airlines Group from the oneworld alliance. It is important to know that all tickets purchased until that date on American Airlines, with a flight date after will continue to earn miles.

3. New agreement with Delta Air Lines (DL) (First quarter of 2020)

  • As of November 15, 2019, an e-ticket agreement between LATAM Airlines Colombia (4C) and Delta Air Lines (DL) was activated, therefore it is allowed to issue Delta Air Lines flights (DL) on ticket stock 035.
  • LATAM has signed a codeshare agreements with Delta for its affiliates in Peru, Colombia and Ecuador that will come into effect during the first quarter of 2020, details about these codeshares will be informed in a timely manner through this means.

Important:

  • Please keep in mind that 100% offline ticketing is not permitted for commercial fares, i.e itineraries 100% operated by other carriers.
  • Progress on the termination of the frequent passenger agreement with American Airlines (AA), subject to the departure of oneworld, will be communicated in due course.
