PASSENGER PROTECTION - Added flexibility for passengers traveling to Chile

 

Description:

Please be advised that according to statements made by health authorities in Chile, as of March 11th 2021 passengers that have been in Brazil in the last 14 days who will disembark in Chile must take a new PCR test (in addition to a mandatory exam prior to boarding the plane) at their first point of entry in Chile. Review the details here.

 

Passengers with tickets issued by March 10th 2021 and with flights scheduled up through March 17th 2021 can change the dates of their domestic flights in Chile to add a stopover at their first entry point into the country. More specifications in considerations.

Considerations:

  • This applies to tickets issued through March 10th 2021 with a trip scheduled between March 11th and 17th 2021.
  • One date/flight change will be permitted without penalty and applies to the domestic leg cabin to fly no later than 15 days from the date of the original flight.
  • Reissue will be done as involuntary, entering this text: NSFLEX in the RMK field of the ticket.
  • Other changes will be done in accordance with the rate rules.
  • This exception is in addition to the current instructions on Covid-related flexibility.
