CODESHARE - New codeshare service between LATAM and China Eastern Airlines

This is to inform that a new codeshare operation between LATAM and China Eastern Airlines for service between Oceania and Asia is already available in our distribution systems according to the following:

 

LA* marketed flights

The number range for the marketed flights is LA*8736 - LA*8765.

 

Service is available on the following routes:

 

-       Shanghai(PVG) - Auckland(AKL)

-       Beijing(PEK) - Hangzhou (HGH) - Sydney (SYD)

-       Melbourne (MEL) - Shanghai (PVG)

-       Beijing (PEK) -Nanjing (NKG) - Sydney (SYD)

-       Shanghai (PVG) - Sydney (SYD)

-       Sydney (SYD) - Wuhan (WUH)

-       Kunming (KMG) - Sydney (SYD)

China Eastern is a Chinese airline headquartered in Shanghai. It is the leading domestic and international airline in China. Its main hubs are Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Shanghai International Hongqiao Airport.

Special passagers:

 

  • Infants:
  • Infants must travel accompanied by a legally responsible adult over the age of 18, unless the infant is traveling with his/her father/mother/legal guardian.
  • A passenger accompanying an infant CANNOT accompany another passenger with a disability on the same flight.
  • For safety reasons, the adult (or parent or legal guardian) cannot travel with more than 2 infants. If traveling with 2 INF, at least one MUST occupy a seat.
  • The companion may be responsible for more than one child (up to the age of 12), so long as there is only one infant.
  • The number of infants on any aircraft is subject to a maximum per flight.
  • Newborns under 14 days old are not accepted. Babies between 14 and 90 days old must present a medical certificate for traveling.

 

  • Pregnants:
  • From week 32 until week 35 (i.e. from month 7 to the beginning of month 8), a medical certificate issued by the treating doctor and a pregnancy record are required. The certificate must indicate pregnancy is progressing normally and the number of weeks expected on the date of travel. The certificate must be issued within 72 hours from scheduled departure and must be presented during check-in and carried by the passenger during the flight.
  • The return date must not exceed month 8.
  • Pregnant women are not accepted for travel beyond week 35 (month 8).
  • Pregnant passengers must be able to present a certificate with the estimated date of birth or the number of months of pregnancy.

 

  • Minors:
  • Including the minor’s DOB in an SSECKIN is recommended.

 

Special Services:  

Baggage allowance

Checked Baggage: The baggage policy of the Most Significant Carrier applies. If the MSC is a codeshare flight, the marketing carrier’s policy applies.

Carry-On Baggage: The operator’s policy applies. Check China Eastern Airlines website.

Other baggage fees: applies the operator's charge policy.
