    COMMERCIAL EXCEPTIONS - Non-consecutive use of coupons on regional routes from Chile, Brazil, and Ecuador

    DescriptionPlease be advised that the “Non-Consecutive Use of Coupons” policy is being implemented for passengers with round-trip travel on regional routes who choose not to fly the outbound segment and wish to keep their return flight.
    Scope:Passengers requesting not to use a flight in bookings with a regional itinerary departing from Chile, Brazil, or Ecuador.
    Implementation date:Immediate
    Considerations:

    To qualify for this exception, the following conditions must be met:

    - The ticket must have been issued and originate in Chile, Brazil, or Ecuador.

    - The itinerary must be point-to-point (Example: SCL-LIM-SCL) on regional routes. If it is a connecting flight, it is not possible to no-show for the first flight to board at the connection point. For example:

    Itinerary with connection in SCL:
    Outbound: BUE x/SCL LIM and Return: LIM x/SCL BUE
    It does not apply to opt out of flying BUE-SCL to board the SCL-LIM segment. The passenger must opt out of flying the entire outbound journey (BUE x/SCL LIM).

    - The passenger must give notice at least 2 hours before the departure of the flight they will not use.

    - Unmarrying married segments is not permitted

    - If the request is made after the flight, the rules of the purchased fare for changes and/or refunds will apply.

    - If the rest of the itinerary is used, no changes will be allowed on the unused coupon.

    - Associated EMDs remain subject to the fare regulation of the unused segment.

    If these conditions are met, the sales agent must contact GSS to process the exception.
