PASSENGER PROTECTION - Cancellation of the international operation to/from Easter Island (IPC)

Description:

The reestablishment of operations to/from Rapa Nui has been confirmed by the local authorities as of August 04 th 2022 with reduced frequency, on the following flights:

 

LA841 SCL - IPC Days of the week: Thursday and Saturday.

LA842 IPC - SCL Days of the week: Thursday and Saturday

 

Due to the fact that Rapa Nui remains officially closed, according to government regulations, LATAM has been forced to maintain its passenger operations suspended to/from Rapa Nui (IPC), until August 3, 2022.

Considerations

Passengers who have been affected by flight cancellations, including those with rebooked reservations (ticket open) who have taken advantage of the change of date previously, will be able to reschedule their trip as of August 04, 2022 or opt for the rest of the options defined in the current protection policy published at change options are defined in the current protection policy published in the section: Sales | Passenger Protection

PASSENGER PROTECTION - Cancellation of the international operation to/from Easter Island (IPC)

UPDATE: Please be noticed that it has not been possible to resume flight operations to/from IPC due to there is not an official date yet to reopen this destination.

Description:

Operations to/from date to Easter Island has not yet been confirmed by the local authorities, hence there are no flights available to this destination. Therefore, passengers may request a full refund of their tickets and ancillaries, including those with the validity of unused segments extended or changes until June 30, 2022 (See publication here).

Please keep in mind that the cancellation of the operation to/from Easter Island (IPC) has been officially extended, until June 30, 2022.

Considerations:

Passengers who have their flights to/from IPC cancelled until June 30, 2022, who were offered the option to extend the validity for a change, can request involuntary refund if they may. This includes tickets that expired or will expire between March 1, 2022 and June 30, 2022, until operation is restored.

In case operation is restored, the exchange options set out in the current protection policy published in the Sales | Passenger Protection section are available.

Update: Please be advised that the cancellation of the operation to/from Easter Island has been extended until June 30, 2022.

Description:

Please be advised that the cancellation of the operation to/from Easter Island (IPC) has been extended by disposition of the Chilean health authorities until June 30, 2022.

For this reason, all flights into/out of IPC scheduled for the months of February and June 2022 will be canceled.

Scope:

Flights to/from Easter Island (IPC) until June 30, 2022.

Considerations:

Protection will be subject to availability in the original cabin and the lowest class available.

 

Tickets will be reissued as involuntary, retaining the original fare basis and fare construction.

This is to inform that, in line with the resolutions issued by Chile’s health authorities, the operations to/from Easter Island scheduled to resume on February 03, 2022 will continue to be suspended.

For this reason, all flights into/out of IPC scheduled for the months of February and March 2022 will be canceled starting next Tuesday January 25, 2022.
