    Train Service

    The sale of rail service for Italy and Germany combined with airfare is temporarily suspended for new issuances and reissuances. However, previously issued tickets including rail services remain valid and may be used as scheduled.
      LATAM delivers the "Deutsche Bahn" train service in Germany, which consists on a round or one way trip by train from Frankfurt to any destination within Germany. 
      • Applies for any public fare on LATAM flights (Adultos, child and infants) and LATAM tickets except for FRA-MAD fares.
      • Applies to codeshares only between LATAM Holding flights. 
      • If the ticket is issued without the train coupons, it will not be possible to add the train service.

       

      Check-in: Passengers must check in before departure with their full name and their PNR or ticket number to obtain their train ticket, by accessing www.rail-checkin.com. For more details, please review the information available on the Latam Airlines website under Destinations > Train Service. 

      Endorsement: Train tickets must not be endorsed or altered. Otherwise, the documents will be invalidated. 

      Changes: For customers requesting a date change for their ticket, advise that the train service cannot be included when modifying the ticket, and the change is subject to applicable fare difference charges.

      If there is a flight option to the train’s destination city, a voluntary change may be offered to travel with an airline that LATAM has an agreement with, subject to applicable fare differences. If the new ticket results in a residual balance, the agency must contact their Global Sales Support agent.

      LATAM extends the train service in several cities in Italy through Trenitalia. It is available as a codeshare segment, identified as LA* operated by Trenitalia (9B). The services include one-way (OW) or round-trip (RT) trips, connecting with LATAM flights. 

      • Train reservations must be made at least 36 hours before the trip. 
      • Reservations are not accepted less than 2 hours before the departure time.
      • Applies to codeshares only between LATAM Holding flights. 
      • The train must be booked together with an international flight.If the ticket is issued without the train coupons, the train service cannot be added. 


      Train schedules: The displayed schedules correspond to the actual departure and arrival time of the train. 


      Check-in: From 72 hours before the train departure, the passenger enters their first and last name and one of the following data: PNR locator or; electronic ticket number: https://www.accesrail.com/ (check-in option). 


      Documentation: Identity document and Trenitalia document .


      Changes:  Passengers who do not have their Trenitalia ticket printed or downloaded on their mobile phone will not be able to board the train.
