    ROUTE - Changes in the operation between Madrid (MAD) and Frankfurt (FRA)

    Starting on July 1, 2020, the route Santiago (SCL) - Madrid (MAD) - Frankfurt (FRA) will be replaced to a direct flight between Santiago de Chile and Frankfurt which will be operating 3 times a week, besides the flight direct between Santiago and Madrid will be continuing operating. Flights between Madrid (MAD), Spain, and Frankfurt (FRA), Germany, stop operating from July 1, 2020. These flights are already closed for sale.

     

    Canceled flights:

    LA704 MAD-FRA

    LA705 FRA-MAD

     

    From March 3, 2020, customers with direct and indirect sale tickets are being notified via LATAM’s centralized channels

    Proposed protection:

    Passengers traveling on the route between MAD ⇄ FRA and between SCL ⇄ FRA will be protected as indicated below:

     

    Passengers on the route MAD ⇄ FRA:

    - As priority, the protection should be on flight operated by Lufthansa (LH) in the same class of service or lower available in the original cabin.

     

    Passengers on the route SCL ⇄ FRA (flights LA704/LA705):

    - Direct LATAM flight between SCL and FRA (LA708/LA709)

    - Rerouting LATAM via Sao Paulo, Brazil (GRU) with daily GRU FRA service.

    Travel agents have to complete the process as an involuntary reissue on protected flights, keeping the original fare construction.

    Reservation handling

    If the proposed alternative does not satisfy the passenger, the latter may accept a change or refund according to the standards defined in the Passenger Protection Policy.
