Description | To simplify the management of involuntary changes, a single criterion has been established to determine when a flight is considered impacted by a schedule change. Effective November 2, 2026, changes made by LATAM or another airline will be considered a flight disruption when they involve: - Schedules moved earlier by 31 minutes or more - Delays of 31 minutes or more In these cases, passengers may access the change or refund options available for affected passengers, as applicable. This policy applies to bookings affected on or after November 2, 2026, regardless of the date of purchase. |
|---|---|
Scope: | Passengers affected by schedule changes on LATAM and other airline flights. |
Implementation date: | Passengers with bookings affected on or after November 2, 2026, regardless of the purchase date. |
Considerations: | To assist passengers affected during the commercial and operational windows, agencies must follow the standard notification and management procedures established under the new schedule change policy. Please consider the following: - If the schedule change is between 16 and 30 minutes: The change will be notified, but the passenger will not be eligible for change or refund options under the flight disruption policy, as the flight is not considered impacted. - If the schedule change is 31 minutes or more: The change will be notified, and the passenger may access the change or refund options available for affected passengers, as applicable. If a passenger requests flexibility due to a schedule moved earlier by 16 to 30 minutes on a flight associated with a ticket issued by their agency prior to November 2 (the effective date of the new policy), a one-time change may be processed during the validity of the ticket. When processing the change, the remark PROCOM021126 must be added to the Endorsements/Restrictions field of the ticket. If it is not possible to complete the change, the agency must contact their Global Sales support. |
