TICKET MODIFICATIONS - Non-consecutive use of coupons in Argentina

Description:

We want to inform you that, in order to comply with Resolution 1532/98 that regulates Air Transportation in Argentina, the non-consecutive use of voluntary coupons is now allowed for passengers with international tickets issued in Argentina.

Scope:

Passengers traveling in LATAM with tickets issued in Argentina.

Date of Implementation:

Immediate

Considerations:

Passengers will be able to cancel flying on any of the segments of the reservation and use the remaining portion of the ticket as long as the following conditions are met:

  • Unused or partially used tickets.
  • International tickets issued in Argentina.
  • The segments to be removed will be exclusively LATAM. In the case of connecting flights with another airline, the travel agent may remove the segments of the other airline according to the internal cancellation policies of the airline.
  • Passenger has to contact us BEFORE the departure of the flight that will not be used. Requests after the flight, fare regulation applies.

The following considerations, which are transversal to the non-consecutive use of coupons, also apply to tickets issued in Argentina:

  • The travel agent must eliminate the section of the reservation that will not be used and notify the client of the itinerary that is maintained, in addition to the refund condition of the unused coupon.
  • Does not apply to group reservations.
  • If the outbound flight (not flown) does not allow changes AFTER DEPARTURE, it will not be possible to reissue.
    • If the outbound flight (not flown) allows changes, AFTER DEPARTURE may carry out the reissue, charging applicable penalties and fare differences.
    • If the remaining itinerary is used, no changes will be allowed to the unused coupon. If the passenger desisted from flying a section and has not yet flown any of the sections of the ticket, the full ticket can be reissued only if the fare regulation allows it and for the route that will actually be flown. Ex:
  • It is not allowed to miss a flight and embark on the next if both are within the same fare component, therefore, it is not allowed to discount segments to apply this exception.

Refund of unused coupon:

  • The travel agent must request the refund via the regular channels, indicating the reason: Refund of unused flight segment.
  • The refund must be requested after finishing the trip.
  • The unused coupon will be refunded according to the fare regulation (applying the fare component penalty and deducting the ticket portion used).
