Description

Passengers who have issued tickets to Tel Aviv before October 7, 2023 with flights until July 31, 2024, will have two new exceptions available, allowing the non-consecutive use of LATAM tickets coupons or permitting free changes for passengers that have TLV as their destination on a separate ticket issued by another airline connecting with a LATAM ticket.

Scope:

  • Passengers with LATAM tickets issued before October 7, 2023 and with flights until July 31, 2024 with flights to/from TLV.
  • Passengers with LATAM tickets issued before October 7, 2023 who connect with an OLA ticket to Tel Aviv (TLV) until July 31, 2024.

Implementation date:

Immediate

Considerations:

The following exceptions may be offered to passengers with flights to/from Tel Aviv (TLV):

  1. Passengers with LATAM tickets issued before October 7, 2023 and with flights until July 31, 2024 to/from TLV

NON-CONSECUTIVE USE OF COUPONS is allowed:

Process to execute

It is allowed to not use flights operated by other airlines, while keeping the flights operated by LATAM. For example:

If a TKT is issued with the route SCL-MAD-TLV-MAD-SCL, the passenger can keep the SCL-MAD-SCL flights (operated by LATAM) and leave the MAD-TLV-MAD flights (operated by another airline) unused.

- Once the trip is completed, the passenger may request a penalty-free refund for the unused segments.

- Remove flight segments that the passenger will not use (unmarried segments  is allowed).

DO NOT reissue the ticket.

2.              Passengers with LATAM tickets issued before October 7, 2023 who connect with a ticket from another airline to Tel Aviv (TLV) until July 31, 2024

CHANGE is allowed for LATAM  TICKET if it has a separate TKT connecting with a flight to/from TEL AVIV (TLV)

Process to execute

- Make a change to the LATAM ticket without penalty or fare difference to fly within 45 days from the original travel date.

- The refund is subject to the conditions of the purchased fare.

- Confirm that the LATAM ticket has been issued in connection* with a ticket from another airline.

- Provide travel alternatives maintaining the route and reissue the ticket as involuntary including the message  TLVOCT23 and the ticket number of the other airline in the endorsement

Action is only taken on the LATAM ticket

* A connection corresponds to an  interruption of the journey between origin and destination, in order to change flights, without leaving the airport’s transit area. Usually this is less than 24 hours on international routes and 4 hours on domestic routes.

Additional considerations:

Details:

Customers with cancelled or rescheduled flights may apply for the options established in the LATAM’s protection policy.

If the passenger does not have a flight from Israel on their LATAM ticket, they must prove at the airport or through the Contact Center that they are coming from there (showing train/plane tickets/etc.) and may be exempt of penalty fee but subject to availability on the aircraft.

(*) Change subject to cabin availability on LATAM flights implies that the travel agent must make the reservation in the original booking class. If the class is not available, the agent must reserve in the lowest booking class available in the same cabin of the LATAM flight and complete the involuntary ticket reissue. In other words, it is no longer necessary to contact the LATAM Sales Support Agent to request the original booking class.

Important:

Changes of date/flight/rerouting apply maintaining the same origin/destination | Change of origin or destination means flying to/from a city different than the one printed on the original flight coupon |  Ancillaries associated to the ticket are subject to changes and/or refund depending on the action taken with the ticket.
