Scope:

Venezuelan passengers traveling to Venezuela with expired passports.

Date of Implementation:

Immediate

Considerations

During the sales process of tickets to Venezuela, the client must be informed of the condition of traveling with a valid passport for Venezuelan passengers.

If the client state that they have an expired passport, they must be informed that:

- Must request the letter called "Travel Document" (“Documento de viaje” in spanish) from the Venezuelan embassy or consulate.

- Call the local LATAM contact center at least 72 hours before the flight departure to send this document and manage the corresponding permit with the Venezuelan immigration authority.

Reservations for which authorization has already been requested may be recognized by the SSR CKIN DOCS IN PROGRESS CASE flight and date.

Once the response is received from immigration, the LATAM agent will send the notification to the passenger by email, also leaving an SSR CKIN NOT BOARD in the event that the documentation sent is rejected.

For passengers who need to make a change because their documentation was not approved or because they are outside the established deadline, travel agents may provide a documentation exception according to the following:

- A change of date will be allowed without penalty, assuming the fare differences that apply at the time of the change, maintaining the same origin, destination and cabin.

- The travel agent must contact GSS LATAM before the flight departure, with the new reservation generated and booked to request a waiver due to documentation exception.

- Once GSS LATAM generates the waiver, the travel agent can proceed with the reissuance of the ticket, entering the endorsement “EXCEP DOCS + WAIVER NUMBER” in the endorsement field of the ticket.

- Refunds apply under fare regulation.
