    Germany train service resumes in conjunction with ticket sales

    Description:

    LATAM resumes the sale of the “Deutsche Bahn” train service in Germany, together with an air ticket. This service consists of a round-trip or one-way journey by train, from Frankfurt to any destination within Germany.

    The train destinations within Germany, Deutsche Bahn (W2), must be booked together with the international flight segment. The train cannot be added to tickets already issued.
    Applies to any LATAM public fare (Adults, children, and infants) on LATAM flights and tickets.
    Applies to codeshares only between LATAM Holding flights.

    Considerations:

    Train reservation:

    All destinations within Germany must be booked with the dummy code QYG (fictitious city for Railway Germany). The code “QYG” allows the train station to be left pending and selected at the time of train check-in.
    The times indicated in the reservation are fictitious. The customer must choose the train schedule at the time of check-in.

    Check-in:
    It is important that the customer performs the flight check-in separately.

    The train check-in can be performed immediately after the issuance of the air ticket, but with a maximum of 180 days in advance. To perform the train check-in, the customer must do the following:
    Access the train link (www.rail-checkin.com) to obtain their boarding pass, using the reservation code or ticket number provided by the travel agency.
    Select the passengers in the reservation, the train station, and schedules.
    It is possible to check in the train segments for the following times, provided that the date the train will be used is indicated:
    To the airport: the day of flight departure and the day before.
    From the airport: the day of flight arrival and the day after.

    The passenger receives the train ticket in their email, which will be requested once on board the train, along with their identity document and air ticket.
    As soon as the passenger has checked in, the train ticket will be valid for any train on the selected route and day of travel.

    Changes: Changes to the date of the air segment are subject to fare regulations. In case of a rebooking after checking in, the passenger must check in again at www.rail-checkin.com to obtain a valid train ticket.

    Baggage: The customer must transfer their baggage from the plane to the train and vice versa, as it is not transported directly to the final destination.

    Endorsement: Train tickets must not be endorsed or altered. Otherwise, the documents will be invalidated.
