CODESHARE - New Agreement between LATAM and Turkish Airlines

As of December 4, 2023, the sale of the interline and codeshare agreement between LATAM and Turkish Airlines will be available for journeys starting December 15, 2023.

General information about this operator:

Turkish Airlines is the national airline of Turkey based in Istanbul, operating in countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, and South America

Type of Agreement:

Bilateral Interline Agreement (both companies issue tickets) and a "Free Sale" Codeshare Agreement.

Special services:

The following special services can be requested for reservations with Turkish Airlines (TK) connections:



  • WCHC - Wheelchair for cabin seat passenger completely immobile
  • WCHS - Wheelchair –  passenger can not ascend stairs
  • WCHR - Wheelchair –  passenger can ascend stairs
  • WCBD - Wheelchair – dry cell battery
  • WCMP - Wheelchair – manual power to be transported by a passenger.
  • WCBW - Wheelchair – wet cell battery

 

Special meals:

  • BLML - Bland meal
  • CHML - Child meal
  • DBML- Diabetic meals
  • GFML - Gluten free meal
  • VGML - Vegetarian meal without dairy or eggs
  • KSML - Kosher meal

 

MAAS: Meet  and Assist service 

 

The following special services cannot be entered from a reservation issued by LATAM that includes flights operated by Turkish Airlines (TK) (due to technical and/or commercial limitations), and their management is summarized as follows:

 

a) The client must request it directly from the Turkish Airlines (TK) operator:

  • MEDA - Medical Cases ( SSR informative)
  • WEAP - Armed passenger (SSR management is carried out at the airport with the operator)
  • SVAN - Service Animals

 

b) They cannot be offered in itineraries with Turkish Airlines (TK) connections.:

  • WCLB - Wheelchair - Lithium battery
  • PPOC - Personal portable oxygen
  • AVIH -  Animal in hold
  • PETC - Animal in cabin
  • ESAN - Emotional Support Animals
  • BSCT - Baby Bassinet
  • CBBG - Cabin Baggage
  • EXST - Extra Seat

 

Services not mentioned cannot be requested on itineraries with Turkish Airlines flights.

Special Passengers:

The following Special Service Requests (SSRs) for special passengers can be included in reservations with connections involving Turkish Airlines (TK):

  • INFT - Infants
  • CHLD - Minors
  • BLND - Visual disability
  • DEAF - hearing impairment
  • DPNA - Passengers with special needs

 

The following Special Service Requests (SSRs) for special passengers cannot be offered in itineraries with Turkish Airlines (TK) connections:



  • UMNR - Unaccompanied minors 
  • INAD - Inadmisibles passengers
  • DEPU - Deportee - unaccompanied
  • DEPA -Deportee- accompanied by an escort
  • TEEN - Adolescent

 

Services not mentioned cannot be requested on itineraries with Turkish Airlines flights.

Baggage Policy:

Cabin baggage: Carrying the most restrictive carry-on baggage is allowed in the cabin between the two airlines. Details on the site latamarilinesTurkish Airlines.

 

Checked baggage: Both airlines agree to apply the interline baggage policy of IATA described in Resolution 302 and the exceptions of the DOT. The baggage allowance is automatically provided by the system.

 

Excess baggage: The airline initiating the journey charges for excess baggage from the origin to the final destination.

 

Baggage is tagged to the final destination for all flights in the itinerary.

 

The sale of additional baggage can only be done at the airport.

Check-in:

Check-in for flights operated by TK can be done on the day of the flight at the airport.
