    Dear Travel Partners,,



    We are pleased to announce the launch of a new and long-awaited feature that will enhance the efficiency and flexibility of your operations: the ability to use a Ticket as a Form of Payment. This new functionality is now available through the NDC API Services  and the NDC Portal.

     
    What does this new feature allow?

    The Ticket as a Form of Payment capability transforms how bookings and reissues are managed by enabling: 

    • Use of ticket value (VCR): You can now use the value of a TKT (VCR) to pay fully or partially for a new booking through our digital channels.
    • Easier access to the desired itinerary: Greater flexibility to secure the itinerary your passenger needs.
    • Simplified reissues: The reissue process has been significantly simplified, allowing you to complete it directly and efficiently through the NDC Portal or via API.
     
    When can I use a ticket as a form of payment?
    • When reissuing and the desired flight is not available.
    • When you have an Open Ticket.
    • When you need to reissue a ticket with a mix of brands.
    • When you need to process a name change (subject to fare policy).
