Description:

Update to the age requirement for minors traveling on itineraries containing other airline flights, which states that all minors under the age of 15 must travel accompanied by an adult in charge. On itineraries with Qatar Airways (QR) the minimum required age for minors traveling alone is 16 years at the time of travel.

Scope:

Minors under the age of 15 on itineraries containing OAL flights and/or codeshare flights, and minors on itineraries containing Qatar Airways (QR) flights, where the minimum required age for traveling alone is 16 years at the time of travel.

• Reservations will not be issued for minors under 15 years traveling alone on itineraries containing:
  • Flights operated by other companies
  • Codeshare flights
  • Itineraries containing Qatar Airways (QR) flights, where minors must be at least 16 years of age at the time of travel in order to be accepted for traveling alone.

• Customers with tickets already issued will be offered an involuntary refund.

To apply for a refund in this case, travel agents must request an exception through Agency Support, just like any other commercial exception.
