    PASSENGER PROTECTION - Route suspension PUQ ⇄ RGL ⇄ MPN

    We inform you that due to runway works at Rio Gallegos Airport (RGL), we inform you of the suspension of the Punta Arenas (PUQ) ⇄ Rio Gallegos (RGL) and Rio Gallegos (RGL) ⇄ Mount Pleasant (MPN) routes. Reservations have been canceled in the system since August 20, 2025, for flights operated between September 1, 2025 and December 23, 2025.

     

    Canceled flights:

    The following will be canceled:


    • Santiago (SCL) ⇄ Punta Arenas (PUQ) ⇄ Río Gallegos (RGL) ⇄ Mount Pleasant (MPN): LA 897


    • Mount Pleasant (MPN) ⇄ Río Gallegos (RGL) ⇄ Punta Arenas (PUQ) ⇄ Santiago (SCL) : LA 896

    Proposed protection:

    Self-protection on LATAM (LA) flights to/from Punta Arenas (PUQ) or Ushuaia (USH).


    • Example: Santiago (SCL) ⇄ Rio Gallegos (RGL) and similar combinations, you can be protected on a Santiago (SCL) ⇄ Punta Arenas (PUQ) or Santiago (SCL) ⇄ Ushuaia (USH) flight.

    Reservation management:

    For flights to/from Ushuaia (USH) or Punta Arenas (PUQ), protection must be provided in the same class and cabin as the original.

     

    Flight date changes before or after airport reopening will be protected in the same class, free of charge, subject to availability.

     

    Reissue will be involuntary, maintaining the original base fare and structure.

     

    Passengers who do not accept the proposed protection may use the flexibilities defined in Sales | Passenger Protection or request a full refund of the ticket, free of charge.
