Commercial Procedure: Spirit Airlines Passenger Protection on LATAM Flights

This document establishes the guidelines for the relocation of Spirit Airlines passengers on LATAM Airlines flights under reactive-only protection conditions due to contingency. Passengers may present themselves at the airport on the same day of their flight or, at the latest, one day prior, to be rebooked on LATAM flights based on availability and on a first-come, first-served basis. This alternative applies to those with issued tickets —subject to verification— with travel dates between May 2 and May 16, 2026.

1. Scope: Authorized Routes This protection applies exclusively to the following segments, subject to space availability on LATAM (LA) flights:

MIA - BOG | BOG - MIA
MCO - BOG | BOG - MCO
MIA - UIO | UIO - MIA
JFK - GYE | GYE - JFK
MIA - LIM | LIM - MIA
LIM - JFK | JFK - LIM

2. Conditions for Application To be eligible for this protection, the passenger must meet the following criteria:

Validity: Applies only to passengers with issued tickets —subject to verification— with original travel dates between May 2 and May 16, 2026.
Presentation: Passengers may present themselves at the airport for issuance on the same day of their flight or, at the latest, one day after if space was not available. Boarding is subject to availability on the day that space is available.
Priority: Seats are subject to availability and will be assigned strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
Boarding Priority: These customers are subject to space, after LATAM Staff travel but before customers with ZED flights.
Issuance: Tickets must be issued exclusively at the following airports: JFK, MIA, BOG, GYE, LIM, UIO, MCO. Reservation and issuance only at the aforementioned airports.

3. Costs and Obligations It is the passenger's responsibility to cover the following costs at the time of issuing the new ticket at the airport:

Taxes and Fees: Payment of all applicable airport taxes.
Administrative Fees: Collection of the corresponding administrative fee.
Other: Any other mandatory charge required by current authorities.

4. Baggage Policy The following baggage benefit is included for protected passengers:

Carry-on: Allowed under standard cabin policies.
Checked Baggage: Includes the 23kg bags they previously had, at no additional cost.

5. Limitations

Connections: LATAM Airlines is not responsible for connections beyond the final destination of the protected route. Any additional segment or land/air connection must be managed and covered at the passenger's own expense.
Validity: Applies only to passengers who have flown the outbound segment and have a return flight affected by this contingency.
Exclusivity: Protection is non-transferable and applies only to passengers with confirmed bookings on affected Spirit Airlines flights within the specified date range.
