CHECK IN - SSR DOCS - Document Secure Flight Considerations for flights to the U.S.


Due to the high volume of inconsistencies in the information entered in the SR DOCS field of the PNR, we reinforce the importance and need for the data to be consistent with the passenger's travel document, to ensure that all mandatory items are valid.


For flights involving the USA (Origin/Transit/Destination), this point is extremely important and can affect boarding and the customer experience.


DOCS (Document Secure Flight) Considerations


  • To travel to the USA it is mandatory to have the DOCS SSR at the time of issuance.
  • The requirement is a determination by U.S. regulators.
  • This information corresponds to the documentation that the passenger will use to enter the destination.
  • This information must be entered by each adult passenger, CHD and INF.
  • It contains the following elements:
    • First and last name
    • Document number
    • Country of issue
    • Date of birth
    • Gender

For international and domestic travel to/from/via/to USA is mandatory:


  • Full name as it appears on the ID document used for travel.
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Redress/Redress Number (SSR DOCO) when applicable.
  • Expiration date of the travel document.
