PASSENGER PROTECTION - Flexibilities for passengers traveling to Chile

In compliance with the regulations established by the Chilean Health Authority, all passengers arriving in Chile must complete a mandatory quarantine period upon arrival in Santiago (SCL).

Therefore, all customers with domestic connections to other cities in Chile must reschedule their connecting flights, with some exceptions (see Considerations).

Note: The only exception for not spending the mandatory isolation period in Santiago is if the connecting passenger travels to their destination by land, which must be within 5 hours of travel.

Passengers arriving in Chile with an immediate domestic connection.

Applies to tickets issued until July 25, 2021 for flights on or after July 26, 2021.

Implementation Date:

  • Change of date/flight will be allowed without penalty, subject to cabin availability (without paying any fare differences).

  • The ticket will be reissued as involuntary, inserting the note CLCOVID19 in the ticket RMK box.

  • All other changes will be subject to the fare regulation.

  • This exception is in addition to all other existing publications regarding COVID-related flexibilities.

Please remember that customers with flights affected (cancellation/rescheduling) may apply for the exceptions established under  Travel solutions for passengers with affected flights.
