    Restriction to the transportation of animals to Montego Bay (MBJ), Jamaica

    Description:

    The Ministry of Agriculture of Jamaica restricts the entry of animals (AVIH/ESAN/PETC) on flights bound for Montego Bay, Jamaica.  The only exception is the carriage of SVAN (service dogs) subject to an authorization for import and compliance with all requirements imposed by local authorities. All required documents must be presented at the airport of export during check-in.

    LATAM operation.

    Implementation date:

    Immediate.

    Considerations:

    Passengers intending to travel to MBJ with a SVAN must apply for authorization and obtain a permit to enter the country with the service animal.

    The process must be completed online through the official site:  http://www.micaf.gov.jm

    SVAN acceptance for travel is subject to the presentation of the originals of all required documents
