MINORS - Updating of needed documentation for non unaccompanied minors in Brazil domestic flights

Please be informed that from now an update in the necessary documentation for the boarding of unaccompanied minors on domestic flights in Brazil.

Description:

For minors between 8 and 15 years old it is considered a valid document to travel a legal and certified authorization. This is mandatory for all passengers who the point of origin is Mato Grosso (CGB) to any point within Brazil. It is also permitted the boarding in domestic flights showing the authorization that is at the passport.

Scope:

Unaccompanied minors between 8 and 15 years old departing from Mato Grosso (CGB) to any point within Brazil

Implementation date:

Immediate

Considerations:

According to the Federal Law 13.726/2018 there is a need for recognition of the signature and notarial authorizations when one or both parents are present with the child at the airport (who signs the authorization must be present).

All others conditions to unaccompanied minors remain without changes.  This includes the fact that the UMNR service is mandatory for children travelling on their own when they are between 8 and 11 years old.
