CHECK IN - Passengers in Chile’s MINSAL COVID-19 database

Description

This is to inform that domestic check-in is linked to the Ministry of Health’s (MINSAL) database and therefore blocks the boarding pass in certain cases.

Scope:

Check-in de vuelos LATAM

Implementation date:

Immediate

Considerations:

The system automatically validates the customer’s health status against MINSAL's database 60 hours before flight departure to identify the following cases:

  1. Customers whose mobility pass cannot be verified against MINSAL's database
  2. Customers without a Chilean mobility pass
  3. Customers whose mobility pass has been suspended by MINSAL
  4. Customers in mandatory self-isolation

Considerations:

-       In any of the above cases, latamairlines.com will send a message to the customer indicating the mobility pass could not be verified (see image here), so the system allows check-in but will not issue a boarding pass.

-       The customer may obtain their boarding pass on the date of travel at the airport check-in counter after presenting a valid mobility pass or a negative result of a PCR test taken in Chile no more than 72 hours before departure time.

Important: In order to expedite verification against MINSAL's database and decrease the number of blocked boarding passes, we recommend booking the reservation with the documentation number associated with the mobility pass.
