ANIMALS IN HOLD (AVIH) - New Table of Dangerous Dog Breeds not accepted as Animals in Hold AVIH

 

Description:

Two new breeds have been added to the list of dangerous dog breeds not accepted for travel as animals in the cargo hold (AVIH)

Considerations

The two new breeds not accepted for transportation as AVIH are:

  • American Akita
  • Italian Cane Corso (dangerous brachycephalic breed)

In addition, since certain breeds are known under different names despite being the same breed, alternate names have been included wherever  necessary:

  • American Bully
  • American Bulldog
  • Anatolian Shepherd (Karabash)
  • Presa Canario (Dogo Canario)
  • Tosa Inu (Japanese Fighting Dog)

All previously confirmed services for the new breeds added will be honored, although the use of a muzzle will be mandatory.
All other restrictions regarding this service remain unchanged.
