New codeshare service between LATAM and Air Italy

FYI – This is to inform that a new codeshare operation between LATAM and Air Italy for domestic service in Italy is already available in our distribution systems according to the following:

 

LA* marketed flights

The number range for the marketed flights is LA*5651 - LA*5670.

 

Service is available on the following routes: 

-       Milan (MXP)  Rome (FCO)

-       Naples (NAP)  Milan (MXP)

-       Milan (MXP)  Palermo (PMO)

-       Lamezia Terme (SUF)  Milan (MXP)

In connection with LATAM flights to / from Milano (MXP) and Rome (FCO)

Operator overview

Air Italy is an Italian carrier based out of Olbia. It is Italy’s second largest airline after Alitalia and Europe’s 38th largest airline. Its main hub is at Malpensa International Airport (MXP).

Services available on LA* flights

Special Passengers: 

Infants:

-       Infants must travel accompanied by at least one adult and must be seated with the adult.

-       Infants may not be seated in an exit row.

-       One infant maximum may be seated in a seat group due to the number of oxygen masks available.

-       Infants may be assigned a seat in any seat group with supplementary oxygen masks, always leaving one seat group between infants to ensure the cabin crew will have access to an oxygen mask in case of decompression.

 

-       Infants may occupy a bassinet, provided the seat group is immediately behind a bulkhead.

-       Infants must be secured with a supplementary seatbelt extension.

-       Any infant occupying a seat will be entered in the DCS check-in system as child for “mass value” purposes.

-       The maximum number of infants allowed on board will depend on the number of supplementary oxygen masks, seatbelt extensions and child lifevests available. 

 Pregnant women:

-      For air travel purposes, a passenger is considered Pregnant (PREG):

-       beyond week 36 (8 months) of a normal pregnancy;

-       beyond week 28 of a pregnancy with known complications or expected multiple birth.

-       Whenever a passenger is classified as PREG, a written flight authorization from a doctor is required.

-       Air travel is not recommended for women who gave birth or expect to give birth within 7 days from the flight date.

Special Services:

-       Special services must be booked directly on the operating flight.

Baggage policy

Checked Baggage: The baggage policy of the Most Significant Carrier applies. If the MSC is a codeshare flight, the marketing carrier’s policy applies.

Carry-On Baggage: The operator’s policy applies. Check Air Italy’s website.

Other baggage fees: The operator’s baggage fee policy applies.

FFP

Not valid for award redemption.

Flights on this operator do not accrue points/miles.
